Lazy me! Updates!

I'm soooooo lazy to update these few weeks. Hehs. Pardon me! Hmm.. Let's start from the first weekend that I did not blog which is on... 7th March that weekend. That week was bad because I was down with cold again! ): Din really travel. I finally decided to see the doctor as it got worse each day. I was coughing and sneezing badly since the trip back from Dusseldorf. I think that was when I got the virus from either Cat or Zhihui when we are in the same hostel room for a night. Boo.. The consultation here is more expensive with the medicine costs! I felt their doctor here has a more thorough check than the one in Singapore. At least, they don't just ask what are your symptoms and listen to your lungs and that's it! They even checked if it was a virus or bacteria. If you learn Biology, you will know that antibiotics doesn't help cure/kill virus. So, they checked if you have pain in your ears, backaches and probably extract your blood out for examining if there is bacteria infection. Sometimes, it happens to me that I have pain in my ears but the doctors in Singapore don't ask! They just prescribed the medicine. Talking about medicine, Germany's medicine has good reputation and are mostly produced locally yet it costs a BOMB! The doctor prescribed like a nose spray and medium sized liquid for cough. It costs like 20 euro ish for both! Plus, the 10 euro for first-time consultation, I will be like spending 60 Sg dollars to consult a doctor in Germany when I'm not even having serious Cold and fever! Thus, I only bought a small-sized liquid for cough (20ml) which costs like 9.45 euro. It can lasts for 5-6 days according to the pharmacist. Luckily, I recovered after several days of hot lemon water and medicine.

International Law for 2 weeks have been tedious with law projects and law exam to prepare. It was quite different from what I've learnt in NYP about Singapore Business Law. I still prefer how Martin Lee teach law. I can be so interested in his lesson but not here in Germany. Our prof is from Texas. She is a lawyer tgt with his husband and 1 of her Son, a prosecutor. She told us about how great her other 3 sons did well in their careers. It is incredible. Well well, her lessons don't really caught my attention even if she uses examples from our real life. I just hope my law project and exam goes well. I did put in a lot of effort in Law. I did not even have the time to watch my videos last week!

I had retail theraphy on the second weekend at Heidelberg! I simply love the city. The street designs are great! Even if I don't buy anything (unlike me, so it wont happen), I will still enjoy window shopping there. After shopping, we went to the Neckar River Bridge. It is GORGEOUS! I walked up the bridge with the breeze and beautiful music by the street talents and we are just at the right time when the sun is setting. I did enjoy that beautiful scenery even though it was freezing then. It will be 1 of the destinations I want to go back again with my love ones. :D

Last weekends after our Law exams on Friday morning, Zhiyin and I headed to Vienna on one of our international friend's car. He is from Hungary and he offered to drive us since he is visiting his friend at Vienna. We shared the Petrol costs and it's like twice the cost in Singapore. =X We were on a 7 hrs-ish journey from Mosbach to Vienna. Imagine how much each has to pay. It's 48 euro per pax, to and fro. Damn damn exp! But, it's still cheaper than by train or plane. Nevertheless, it is still considered a low budget trip since we got a cheap and great hostel beside this GRAND HOTEL with the SAME BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE WHOLE OF VIENNA. I tell you, the night view of Vienna from the hill top is DAMN GORGEOUS! It's as breathtaking in the morning as well! I'm glad we chose to book 4-bed female dorms instead of 2-bed private room because we got the whole room for ourselves for 2 nights! OMG, the room is so clean and most importantly, it has a door that leads to the sceneric view of Vienna! Guess what, we only paid like 33 euro per person for both nights! How great is that!

Saturday in Vienna was rather shopping for souvenirs since most of the shops are closed on Sunday. Zhiyin and I both had a great time figuring out the way to their City Centre and shopping streets while dropping by their Flea Market where Zhiyin got a valuable gold watch which doesn't run by battery for 8 euros (i don't know what is the actual word for that kind of watch) and I got a small black coin purse for 1 euro. Though we had rushed for the time when the shops are closing at 6pm on Sat, we had a fun time going around the streets, asking people for directions and surprisingly they do speak basic English (unlike some of the Germans)! Dinner was sharing of a HUGE Pork Cutlet (Schnitzel), very famous in Vienna. I don't have the photos but it's about 30cm diameter. It's the size of the 30cm round plate!

Sunday in Vienna was really a half day tour around their historical buildings with Zhiyin as my 'tour guide' which is really her ambition. Haha! A good attempt though. She led me with a map she has on her hands all the time. We practically walked through all the important buildings, well not knowing what it really stands for but we took loads of pictures! Somehow, it looks all the same to me. Lol! What is fascinating is probably the horses with carriage that are on the roads. It is damn cool! Too bad, it's too expensive to sit on them. 40 euros for 20mins, are you willing to sit on them? I think it's because of the price, most of the horses are left standing on the side of the roads waiting for passengers. I pity those horses on such bad weather, they must have been cold and hungry. They can't even move until the owners instruct them to. ): *sigh*

37 days left! I'm like missing Singapore more than often. Now, I really understand the meaning of "Singapore is my homeland." I'm counting down to meeting my Dear, family and friends! It's until I've left Singapore for so long that I realised how much I miss every single one and things in Singapore. Not to mention, how much I've been missing him since we parted at the Changi Airport.
